One of the most exciting and inspiring places on earth definitely is Paris! There is something extraordinary about this city, whether you are cruising on river Seine, starring at the dazzling Eiffel Tower or just accidentally getting lost at Montparnasse’s picturesque streets.

It is hard to explain that feeling, you have to experience it! But don’t worry, we know the best guide to take you around Paris – Rozi. She has lived there for more than a year and not only fell in love with the city but also explored every little corner of it.This is our first blog post of many to show you Paris in the best way!

Going to Paris for the first time and just for the weekend? Here are some ideas on what you can do for two days in order to discover the real Paris. Enjoy and don’t be afraid to fall in love with it 🙂

Day 1 – Your First Date with Paris

Waking up in the city of light is delightful! Start your day with a big smile because this won’t be just an ordinary day, but the day when you will meet Paris for the first time 🙂

Start from the Eiffel Tower

Don’t waste time and begin your adventure from the good old Eiffel Tower! Grab one of the famous croissant or pancakes called “crepe” and sit on the grass in the park in front of the famous monument known as Champ de Mars.

Take as many pictures as you want with the Eiffel Tower and then dedicate few hours and some patience to climb it. Have in mind that normally there are huge queues, but the view is totally worthy. Cruise on Seine

Continue your trip by getting to know Paris from the water. Just below the Eiffel Tour you can find a big pier which offers various boat trips which help you discover the key Parisian sightseeing spots and also give you some insightful historical info. Afternoon Walk in the City

Paris is a wonderful place to explore by walking! So save some energy and spend the whole day outside discovering art, history and the unique Parisian atmosphere.

Walk on Champs Elysees

Have a walk on the famous Champs Elysees starting from the Arc de Triumph, feel the magnificent modern scent of the city and enjoy some shopping.

Don’t forget to stop by and have the famous macaron in exquisite cake place Laduree. They will pamper you like a real royalty 🙂

Louvre and Tuileries Garden

Continue your stroll through the picturesque royal gardens – Tuleries and discover in their very end the majestic Louvre! Once, a palace, now the building has turned into the most famous museum on earth. Seine and its Vivid Bridges

When you exit the Louvre, continue your walk along the Seine. Right in front of the Louvre you will see the most romantic bridge in Paris – Pont des Arts. It is a famous place where lover lock their love in a padlock on the handrails and throw the key in Seine so their love lasts forever. It is also a spot where Parisiens meet with heir friends in the evenings for wine and live music.

Continue your walk along Seine all the way to Notre Dame de Paris and enter the mystical cathedral. You can also enjoy a fantastic view of Paris form the top of the building. More info on this here.

Dinner at Saint Michel

Head to the lively neighborhood of Saint Michel. You will face the big fountain of Saint Michel, which is famous meeting spot for Parisiens. This also marks the beginning of the student city and the Sorbonne is nearby. Take a left if facing the fountain and go deeper into the small streets to discover dozens of small and cozy French restaurants offering you the delicious fondue and raclette dish. Yummy!

See the City of Light over Wine

If you still have energy you should definitely finish your evening with a glass of wine in the elegant restaurant Ciel de Paris. It is located on the top of the highest building in Paris – Montparnasse and it reveals a view to the whole City of Light. This view is just unbelievable – the whole Paris just sparkles with glory in front of your eyes! Don’t forget that the Eiffel Tower sparkles every round hour so wait to enjoy it.

Day 2 – Falling in Love with Paris

Now, that you’ve been properly introduced to the key and more touristic beauties of the city it is time to open your heart and let Paris in 🙂 We would dedicate Day 2 to the more Parisian things – so just relax and enjoy.

Dreamy Morning in Ancient Paris

Go back in time with a dreamy walk around ancient Paris. Up on a hill right in the middle of Paris, lays its old glorious neighborhood called Montmartre. When you walk on its streets you can feel the history with every sense of your body.

Montmartre is also the birth place of the star Amelie Poulain. You can find a small cozy café dedicated to this fun heroin, where you can enjoy a Parisien breakfast and coffee. Find more info here.

Once in the region, you will discover also the underground world of Moulin Rouge and Pigalle. Take a photo in front of the famous show place and make a relaxing stroll across Pigalle’s mysterious streets.

Sacré-Cœur!

The most exciting and personally Rozi’s favourite spot in Paris is the area around the cathedral Sacré-Cœur! Climb all the stairs to the cathedral and enjoy the view of the city! Walk around the building and you will discover one of the most artistic spots in Paris – Place du Tertre. Enjoy all the artwork of the talented artists and have a walk on the small streets nearby where you will discover cozy Parisien cafes, where you can have crepe for lunch.

Afternoon Options

Option1: Shopping at Le Marais

If you still have some energy visit the trendy neighborhood Le Marais. Everything there is boutique style – from the shops, through the museums to the cafes. Don’t miss also passing by the Parisian City Hall – Hôtel de Ville. During the winter you can also find there fun ice skating ring.

Option2: Relax in the Luxembourg Garden

If the weather is good and you just want to enjoy the small beauties of Paris, go to the Luxembourg Garden, sit of the grass and relax 🙂

Dinner at Mouffetard

One of the French dishes we enjoyed most is made from the special type of cheese – raclette. You can find a lot of cozy small restaurants offering you this type of baked cheese on the famous Mouffetard street. You can easily continue afterwards with a drink in one of the numerous bars over there.
